Airport Warning & Updates

Dear Friday Harbor Pilots and Visitors,

Please make note of the new procedures for taxiing at KFHR.

• In approving the Port’s request for a “Modification to Standards,” the FAA is requesting that all traffic hold short of the parallel taxiway during large wingspan aircraft operations.
• Large Wingspan aircraft are those with a wingspan greater than 49’ (i.e. the Caravans, King Air, PC-12, etc.)
• Large wingspan aircraft are asked to announce their arrivals and departures using the term “Large Wingspan Aircraft.”
• Aircraft in the North or South Run-up areas are exempt.
• A NOTAM will be issued to reflect these changes.
• The taxiway centerline will be moved five feet to the west when weather permits.
