The Port of Friday Harbor is seeking an energetic and inspiring leader to guide the efforts of one of the nation’s premier visitor destination ports.

Located in the heart of the San Juan Islands of Washington State, Port properties include: Friday Harbor Airport—one of Washington’s 10 busiest commercial airports; a 475 slip pleasure boat marina; Spring Street Landing complex, consisting of: restaurant, retail and wildlife tour companies, small commercial marina and small passenger ferry terminal; Jackson Beach—a recreational beach, small boat launch and dock.

Our Executive Director will help build and maintain an economically healthy community by:

  • Empowering a dynamic team to provide excellent customer service in all aspects of Port operations
  • Looking for year-round economic opportunities and programs that reflect, enhance and maintain the island lifestyle
  • Managing Port assets in a fiscally responsible manner while providing affordable transportation infrastructure for visitors and residents

The Port of Friday Harbor is looking for a person to be part of the Summer Maintenance Crew. 40 hours/week for 5 months, 5/1–9/30.  Hourly wage $16-$19 depending on experience.
